TAKE A TRIP ON THE SURREY HILLS ARTISAN TRAIL
Surrey Hills has launched a self guided Artisan Trail that’ll showcase and and shine a light on the extraordinary range of local food, drink, art and crafts that call this much revered Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty their home…
At a time when buying local and environmental impact is becoming increasingly important, the diverse range of local produce grown or crafted within the stunning landscape makes Surrey Hills a very special place to live and explore.
The Surrey Hills Artisan Trail is a free self-guided trail accessed via the www.surreyhills.org website. The Trail takes visitors and residents on a journey around the Surrey Hills and offers opportunities to taste local food and drink and to experience traditional artisan craft skills.
Surrey Hills is home to an exceptional group of talented and inspiring artisans including renowned stained-glass artist and leather and wood craft workers to vineyards, local gin distillers and craft brewers to coffee roasters, cheese makers and field to fork farms.
The Trail will include entertaining and fun experiences from demonstrations to tours, tastings and workshops and a chance to meet the Artisans and to purchase local produce. Visitors will be able to book direct with the artisans and create their own trail based on the practical information about how to get there, opening hours and contact information.
The Artisans on the Trail have all been awarded the Surrey Hills Trade Mark, an accreditation and mark of local provenance, quality and sustainability. Check out some of the artisans here and get ready discover the Surrey Hills this autumn.
