Learn more about the powerful potential of collective design from the team behind the UK non-profit Shift, CEO Nick Stanhope and Innovation Director Tayo Medupin, as they share their radically different approaches to tackling inequalities through collective ways of working and design.
International Women’s Day: Art, Action & Craft

Pioneering artists like Mary Watts used their creative output to address issues of social cohesion, gender equality and political change. This International Women’s Day, celebrate the role of craft in activism. Sarah Corbett will weave together her practical experience of her ‘gentle protest’ craftivism with the history of craft as a tool for change.

Join Watts’ national postal Clay Club or why not gift to a friend. This kit is inspired by Mary Watts, who taught pottery from her home, Limnerslease, to the local community 125 years ago. The clay kit includes instructions, links to online films, materials and pottery tools which we be posted to you. The kit can be enjoyed by all ages and offers a basic introduction to working with clay.

Join artist Wilson Yau for a series of three videos to explore and experiment with drawing from home, through fun and playful activities inspired by our collection and exhibitions. Discover ideas for drawing in new ways and with unexpected everyday materials.
