Roll up, roll up! Jay Miller’s Circus will be arriving on Haslemere’s Lion Green this September with a host of death-defying entertainment to make you oooh and ah all night long. A spectacle to behold, enjoy some family fun at the circus this month.

STORYTELLING FOR UNDER 5s / SEPTEMBER 7 / THE LIGHTBOX, WOKING

INTO THE WOODS: PARENT & CHILD FOREST SCHOOL / SEPTEMBER 10 – OCTOBER 15 / PAINSHILL PARK, COBHAM
Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, parents and children can head to scenic Painshill Park for a morning or afternoon of Forest School. From 10 am – 11.30 am or 1 pm – 2.30 pm, spend time in the great outdoors and participate in a range of really wild bushcraft activities in a fun and safe environment. ART CLUB: PLEIN AIR PAINTING / SEPTEMBER 11 / WATTS GALLERY ARTISTS’ VILLAGE, COMPTON
Aimed at 13 – 18-year-olds with a penchant for paint, wander over to Watts Gallery Artists’ Village on the outskirts of Guildford and spend the morning painting in the great outdoors. Led by Royal Drawing School alumnus and artist Tim Patrick, students will work with paints at an easel, try painting Plein air (outside), experimenting with different ways to capture light, colour and nature with paints.

For lovers of lumber, gorgeous grains and wonderfully whittled wood, the Surrey Hills Wood Fair takes place at scenic Fish Pond Copse in Cranleigh Showground.
