Flexibility and choice
Summer is one of the most uplifting seasons; not only does it bring longer days and more sunlight but the warmth, fresh blooms in the garden and green spaces bring hope and optimism to us all.
Downsizing undoubtedly offers a fresh start in later life – and its benefits may astound you. However, moving from a large family home to something easier to manage raises a lot of questions and triggers incredibly powerful emotions.
As one of the UK’s leading rental retirement property operators, we have a diverse breadth and depth of experience behind our Birchgrove name. Our success comes from listening to what people want and being flexible.
You’ll find our assisted living apartments are solely for rent. There are no stamp duty costs or legal conveyancing fees or stress. There’s no pressure to buy, and you need only give two months’ notice should you wish to leave.
Our inclusive rent makes it easier to manage your finances. It is reviewed once annually, so fixed until 2024, when it will be adjusted in line with the retail price index.
The Birchgrove rental model covers all the large-ticket expenses like energy costs – electricity, heating and water – and many of the rising incidental costs that go along with owning your own home e.g. housekeeping, broadband, window cleaning, gardening, buildings insurance, security and a whole host of other things.
All apartments are specifically designed for people in later life, featuring waist height appliances in the fully fitted kitchens for easy access and ensuite showers.
Residents have access to exclusive onsite amenities such as a restaurant, bar, club room, a communal terrace, exercise studio, landscaped gardens and greenhouse. Regular events and activities programme also contribute to the friendly community lifestyle, and for added peace of mind there is a concierge and 24-hour staff presence.
One thing that will strike you when you visit a Birchgrove retirement community, is how friendly the team are. Our retirement advisors are here to help answer your questions about life at Birchgrove and help you consider whether it is right for you.
If helpful, our advisors can visit you at home to find out what’s important to you eg, how and where you want to live, as well as offer you a tour of one of our show suites. We can also arrange a personal virtual tour.
