CLEANER AIR DAY / SEPTEMBER 29 / GUILDFORD TOWN CENTRE
“Be part of a Greener Guildford” and choose alternative travel such as walking, cycling or public transport, instead of using their car for the day. Guildford Borough Council is coordinating this free, fun, and interactive event, bringing in dozens of local providers, traders, and community organisations, all working together. The event will involve a range of environmental education and awareness activities, family entertainment, and many different stalls on the High Street.

SUSTAINABLE FASHION CELEBRATION (SUSTAINABLE FASHION WEEK 24) / SEPTEMBER 29 / FARNHAM MALTINGS
Celebrating the first locally and communally produced linen garment in the UK in 200 years! Meet the group of flax growers, share their exciting story, and view their wonderful creations. Part of the nationally celebrated Sustainable Fashion Week (SFW 24), this event aims to recognise the importance of forgotten heritage crafts. Members of the Let’s Grow Flax community group, led by skilled textile craft artisans Brigitte Kaltenbacher and Ginny Farquhar, will be providing demonstrations of the fibre extraction process and displaying samples of their own textile pieces.
