Farnham Carnival

Farnham Carnival takes over the town on the last Saturday of the month. Dating back to 1923, this historical carnival is organised by the Farnham Lions and promises to be a fabulous day out for the family. Opera on the Balcony

Guildford Raft Race

Oars at the ready as Guildford’s annual raft race returns to the banks of the River Wey. Running for over 40 years, the raft race see’s teams from around the town build their own seaworthy (or not-so-seaworthy) rafts to sail down the River Wey, all the while raising money for charity. Hosted by the Guildford Lions, racing commences from 3pm at Millmead Lock Island and concludes at the Waterside Centre in Stoughton.

GSC Present: Love’s Labour’s Lost

Guildford Shakespeare Company present the second instalment of their open-air theatre summer series with their production of Love’s Labour’s Lost. One of Shakespeare’s earlier forays into comedy and considered by many to be the prequel to Much Ado About Nothing, director Tom Little relocates the play’s setting from Northern Spain to the idyllic scene of the Sussex coast on the eve of the Second World War.

Brooklands In Sound: The Festival
July 14 / Brooklands Museum
Celebrate the sounds of mighty machines and make your way to Brooklands Museum for an evening festival of music, poetry and sound. Surrey Arts will be premiering their new work No Sound Ever Dies, composed by Joanna Lee and written by librettist Stephen Plaice which tells the story of motoring pioneers and Brooklands heroes Percy Lambert and Kay Petre. On the night, they will be joined by a cast of choirs, bands and ensembles embedded into garages and exhibitions across the Brooklands Museum site.
