A friendly and relaxed introduction to the basics of drawing led by artist Jane Allison. Drawing is a language and everyone can learn to draw! This workshop will introduce students to the fundamental skills needed to translate what you see into a two dimensional image. EDO POP: CURATOR’S TOUR / MARCH 14 – JUNE 13 / WATTS GALLERY ARTISTS’ VILLAGE, COMPTON
Edo Pop is an exhibition of 19th-century Japanese woodblock prints from the private collection of art historian and writer, Frank Milner. Focusing on the period 1825 – 1895, this will be the first public display for a number of these works, which were hugely popular in 19th-century Japan and also in Europe, where prints were collected by artists including Rossetti, Whistler, Van Gogh and Monet.
