THE SURREY HILLS CLASSIC / MAY 7 / CRANLEIGH SHOWGROUND
This May, the Surrey Hills Classic ride departs from Cranleigh Showground, promising cyclists a truly classic ride. With the Long and Middle routes taking in Leith Hill – the highest point in Southern England at 294m – followed by a ride around the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and up Box Hill for those tackling the Long route. Your legs will undoubtedly be ready for that finish line beer.

DEVIL’S PUNCHBOWL SUNSET 10K / MAY 9 / DEVIL’S PUNCHBOWL, HINDHEAD
Get ready for all the ‘feels’ for the scenery as you take on this beautiful sunset trail run around the Devil’s Punchbowl. A 10km designed to be fun but tough will see runners take on some fantastic trails featuring plenty of hilly terrains. A guided trail run; this makes a great introduction to those new to trail running as well as runners who like to run with like-minded folk.

Kelly’s Storage Charity Events are once again organising this hugely popular Cycle Sportive on Sunday, May 22. They deduct no costs at all, so 100% of all money raised goes to Challengers, a local charity that provides play and leisure opportunities for disabled children across Surrey and Hants. The Kelly’s Cycle Challenge starts from HQ in a field on the doorstep of Alice
Holt forest and follows quiet country roads for mile on mile of stunning Surrey and Hampshire scenery. There are three distances to choose from, plus a special 7 mile Family Forest Ride suitable for young cyclists. Whichever route is chosen, all riders can be sure of a truly scenic cycle.

Are you hard as snails? Think you can rise to the challenge of this excellent midweek trail run? Then, as you run into the sunset, take part in this epic course that takes in the Pilgrims’ Way over the North Downs and into central Surrey. Setting off at 5.30 pm, weave through woodlands and rolling hills by choosing from a 10k or 5k and enjoy a well earned Aperol Spritz at the Horsebox Gin Bar post-race.
