A traditional hand building technique in Japan, Kurinuki involves carving from a single block of clay to create a vessel such as an indoor planter. A method that is intended to be spontaneous and unrefined, forming ornamental surface decoration by carving fluid shapes and designs into the clay – discover the tips and tricks to create your own at this creative workshop taking place at West Horsely Place this August.
