One of the oldest teams in the world and now owned by Hollywood A-Listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, Wrexham will be hoping to avoid the long journey back to Wales as Marc White’s Wanderers look to make their mark in their debut season in the National League.

For an automotive sportive, why not take part in the legendary Shere Hill Climb? With over 175 vehicles expected to make the climb, the event itself is a great day out for spectators. Witness vehicles young and old, super and slight, take the great motoring test to climb Staple Lane on the outskirts of Guildford. In addition, visitors can expect to find stalls, activities and entertainment throughout the day.

The fantastic thing about running events in Surrey is that you’re never short of a decent view or two. This September, the Farnham Pilgrim Marathon and Half Marathon are back as runners race from The Sands in Farnham to the halfway marker of St. Martha’s Church in Guildford and back. For those of you looking for more of a meander, participants can take part in a family walk. Celebrations aplenty take place at the finish line with bacon sandwiches and plenty to keep supporters and spectators entertained throughout the day.
